WP1 is partly administrative and partly scientific. The administrational task is to manage the project, by ensuring an active communication and an efficient progress.  The scientific task is to utilize results from the explorative WPs 2, 3, 4 and 5 in order to draw the main conclusions from the project as a whole. WP1 provides relevant project information, maintains the project website, produces a  web-based newsletter , and ensures that results are presented at national and international conferences. In cooperation with other WPs, WP1 arranges open seminars where project results are presented and networks are built. So far, we have arranged an open workshop during Biofach 2008 in Germany, and during the IFOAM Organic World Congress in 2008 in Italy.

  Initial scientific statements

  • Public procurement of organic food in serving outlets for young people is an efficient way to increase the consumption of organic food.
  • Difficulties linked to supply chain management, lack of knowledge and economic resources among important stakeholders, and complex public regulations hamper an increased use of organic food in public food serving outlets for young people.
